| Newbie with Questions on type of RC truck to buy.
Hi Everyone, I have been contemplaing for some time now what type of RC to go with. I really like the T-Maxx Nitro 3.3's and would like to build a tube chassis after running it for awhile if this is what I go with. Then I started looking at the Clodbusters and see that you can buy the chassis and the stuff to lengthen the wheel base in one kit. I see all the Rockcrawlers being powered by electric motors. Am I going in the wrong direction if I go with a T-Maxx 3.3 or a Revo? Being a Newbie I really want to learn as much as I can before diving in and buying a Truck. Because ultimately I would like to have it with axels and differential like a real truck and have the drive shafts. I build Custom 1/64, 1/24 and 1/18 custom diecast and build my own Tube Chassis, so I am some what comfortable with the thought of making one just I know it is not going to be easy because of the geometry will have to be taken into consideration as well as how to mount all the parts of the RC. I have plenty of other stupid newbie questions once I find answers of where to start. I really feel out of place because I have never felt so uninformed as I do now. Thanks for your help. |

If you want to ggo with a crawler, look into either a Clod Buster or a TLT kit. It sounds like you know what you are doing as far as custom stuff so chassis for the crawlers should be a piece of cake for you. What will the truck be used for, it is really impossible to recommend something without knowing that, lol. |

ta02, or pajero! lmk if you want a ta02, I got one but its mainly for trails, but can race, and slightly rock crawl. Its not running either, it needs electronics, but it comes with servo, and 14t motor!

NITRO'S MAKE CRAPPY CRAWLERS! So Id stick to electric and decide which you really want to do crawl or race and set your sites that way | |
