Default new guy, first crawler

hello everyone, was hoping to get some help, iv wanted a crawler for some time now, but havnt had the funds cause of school, finally got one in a trade and it is tons of fun but could use some love, i dont even know what it is, or if it is full custom. i cant seem to figure out how to find pics but heres a link to another forum local to me....

thanks in advance, im loving the crawling and id love to get more into it and either buy a better crawler or put money into this one after school.

You have a mostly stock Tamiya TLT crawler. The axles are good and still popular with the scale guys. Looks like the shocks, drive shafts and upper link mounts have been changed out though. Maybe some other stuff hard to see all of it in the pics.

Back in the dark ages of crawling we would get a tlt kit and take the axles out of it to build a comp rig. It's a pretty tough truck but parts are getting scarce.

So what to do with it is up to you. For now drive the heck out of it and have fun running it. There is a TLT section too so you can go there to get ideas on improving it's performance. You should also be able to get the manual for it on the Tamiya website for part #s and such.

There's a lot you can do with it for not a lot of coin so it should keep you busy.

Thanks a lot, I'm loving crawling, just going to see what I can do with it the way it is now, try to bring it back to a stock tlt see if it drives a bit better. Again thanks, happy crawling.
