Hey folks , wanted to get some feed back on this. Right now i'm only running 2cell lipos. Mmp 1cell /w 10 amp cc bec. Novak ballitics 4.5 ht bl sensored motor. Traxxas 32p 64t spur 32p 14t pinion. I am running the integy dive shafts , crap i've heard. But they seem beefier than the plastic shafts and I got em cheap. Also running the Robinson one piece diff gear. Castle Linked everything to crawler settings and limited motor to 75percent and set punch control to 80 percent. Am I asking to blow this thing up? Posted this here because I am a newb to crawlers. But my short course blood crept into the build. Would love to heat what your thoughts are on this set up. THANKS!! Sent From My HTC Glacier Using TapaTalk 2. -TheKeltz |

Do you have a steel idler gear too? If you are all metal tranny gears, metal driveshafts, you should survive a while. That's a pretty fast motor, so keep an eye on its temperature! 200 degrees is max, but you obviously want it lower than that. Ring and pinions are pretty stout stock, but you could always upgrade them.

No idler is stock. Think i'm going to put my brushed motor back in before I tear this thing apart lol, thanks for the tips though. I'm wanting to beef up the entire tranny eventually. Sent From My HTC Glacier Using TapaTalk 2. -TheKeltz |

well it depends on what your gonna use it for. if you plan on crawling, i would swap the motor. if your building an F-OFF then keep the motor that's in it. i would be that you will tear the tranny up pretty quick with the stock gears in it.

Thanks folks!!! Plus I noticed too last night that my front suspension is binding up , because I had to move the skid plate forward to fit the larger can of the Ballistics motor and the drive shaft in the front is now crowded. So I think that settles it lol. The fact that it indo'd whenever I let off the throttle had NOTHING to do with it ROFL. But thank you for all your input. Going to run the Novak Fifty Five with my MMP in brushed mode. Thanks again guys!! Now I just need to figure out what to build with this Ballistics ROFL!!!

I tried my 4 pole castle in my wraith, that was a mistake. Went 20 feet and clipped a small rock and tore the wheel off. Now I run brushed motors with higher turns. Seems a little safer for the rig.
