get rid of the canti set-up and just do direct suspension from the axle to the frame

You can try reading! I don't know why we bother posting sh!t for kids like yourself to be so F'ing LAZY and NOT READ.

READ the threads in this forum and you will find a post from Plays_with_toys that tells you everything you need to know.

Wait, why don't I just give you a link to his post? Because I know exactly where it is....

Hey badger, I'll make it an official FAQ with its own post if you can sticky it at the top later tonight.

Seriously though, there is so much information available on this forum, that it'll make your head spin.

A good look at the stickies at the top of most of the forums will teach you what you need to know most of the time, and if not, the Search button will be worth its weight in gold.

IF, and only if, you cannot find what your looking for in the stickies or in the search, then you should ask in the Newbie forum.

Very simple

I built my crawler from the ground up, with no prior crawler knowledge. I asked some questions in the newbie forum, but most came from reading the stickies and using the search button.

If you follow these simple steps, you'll be on your way to building a killer crawler!

The reason some of the guys on this forum get angry when people ask questions, is because they've taken the time to answer the same questions hundreds of times. I bet if some of them added all their time up, they'd work it out to be hours and days worth of time they've spent helping people and they dont even get PAID for it...

I'd be getting angry too if someone wanted to know everything about crawlers from me, without looking for themselves first!

Badger isnt going out of his way to be an a$$. Badger as well as many other mods put stickies at the top of each forum as a basic starting guideline to help the newbies out, thing is the newbies dont read them. He is also trying to keep the same question from being asked over and over and over, this helps when using the search button because you can find your answer with out reading through tons of threads.

As for your suspension, lengthen your links then mount the shocks directly to the chassis. The stock shocks will work for a while, spend your money on a good stampede tranny because the belt driven ones suck. A maxx sized shock will work the best, but you can go longer, downside is you can over articulate. To mount the shocks try to mount them in different places to find what YOU like best, because when it comes down to it, what works for one person may not work for another.
