Default best size lathe motor for tlt

didnt really find was i was looking for with search so no flamers

i am building a tlt and am trying to figure out what lathe motor to buy 45t 55t or 65t whats the advantages and disadvantages of each

i am thinking about running 7 cell 8.4v packs in it

let me know what you think

that all depends on tlt total weight, the tires you run, the final gearing, the esc your use............many variables.....bu you should get around 30 minutes or so.

you do not need 7 cells in a TLT, my Clod runs just fine on six and two 55t motors.

depends on the size, amp rate etc of the cells.

I ran a 65t lathe for quite a while, 16t pinion and 84t spur on a Pede tranny. Had a good combo of wheel speed and torque. I have since gone brushless, the weight savings and power were worth it to me.

so i can take apart the 7cells and make 2 3 cells packs and run it that way i just have 2 brand new 1 use 7cell 3600 or 3800 packs for my boat i am selling i just figured i could run those

you can....the only dfference is a bit more power. id keep with 7 cell packs

cool i will just pull the 7's apart once i get chassis and everything done and make them fit
