I currently own a RC18MT and a Mini-T. I want to build a kit and I want it to be a mini monster truck. I'm pretty sure I want to start with the Rockbuster because of the amount of parts avalibe for it and the price of the kit. Can you guys help me get a parts list of everything I need to get the truck up and going? I'm not worried about building a crawler right now, just building my first kit. The list I have below is just parts I picked from Tower Hobbies. Nothing has to come from there, it was just a one stop shop. Tamiya TLT-1 Rock Buster $150 Futaba 3PM 3-Channel $120 Tamiya R/C 540 Motor $16 Novak XRS Reversible Sport $50 Futaba S3004 $14 (need 2) Tamiya Ball Bearing Set $27 Y-Harness Hobbico $10 (do I need this with a 3 ch radio? Battery Tamiya 6-Cell 1700mAh $36 Nothing has to be top of the line, but I don't want junk. I would like to get the total under $400. I know the TLT can be found for less. I just don't know were to start.

I'm gonna get the moped as well, but if you're in the US or anywhere outside of Hong Kong you might want to try ebay. I checked RCMart for the moped and a servo, total was around $50, plus near $50 for shipping. Might be worth it if you bought in bulk.

220? That's way too much. Unless you mean RTR with good electronics.

I got everything together last night and ran it a bit. This is my first ever kit build and it took me about 7 hours. I've still got some cleaning up to do with the wires and paint and trim the body. I also should have locked the center diff when I was building it. Oh well, guess I can tear it back down and do it. Here's a pic next to a Mini-T and a RC18MT.
