It would be cheaper just to go ahead and buy the whole TLT kit.
I recently bought one for $70 shipped.
That includes everything.
You can also use a bunch of little stuff from the kit like the link mounts, etc.
Not to mention bolts and nuts and other misc. stuff

Yes, you need the axle housings along with the parts bag you listed. You also need all the mounts and bearings. Your better off buying a full kit and a bearing kit. You will have everything you need to get started.

get the hobby shop to order you a tlt kit, it would be the best bet in the long run.

I built a pair of TLT axles from components, because even though I can get a TLT kit for 70 USD, its about 40 to ship it here to Australia.

The cheapest TLT kit available here is about 250 bucks, which works out to 185 USD!!

it cost me around 100 bucks (just over 70 USD) to build the axles with Topcad aluminum knuckles and ball bearings, and the only part I need to get to complete them fully is the link mounts. This was done by scouring eBay, and Tower Hobbies, as well as using some bits I already had i.e. screws, etc.

For anyone in the USA, its probably a much better option to just buy a 70 dollar TLT kit!!

You could get all the componants to build 2 complete axles and bearing set from tower hobbies for less than 80 bucks. But as Brando said you'll get everything in the kit. Screws, shock mounts, etc.

It might be cheaper if you can get a guy in astralia to fab up some custome axles that use that axle shaft. It woul be heavy duty and you could skip the diff and permenatly connect the axle shaft.
