Found one at a LHS for 299. It's gonna be my first crawler. I was kind of on the fence about it for a bit but after seeing benders ridgecrest crawler build I decided that's what I want. Whats gonna be the best battery for me right out of the box though?

lipo, 3s if it the esc can handle it .brand is preference ,mah is how long you want your run time to be (i have 2200 and get about a solid 45mins in my wraith) c-rating depends on the mah.

side note why a ridgecrest over a wraith?

Yea I was wanting to do a 3s if the rig could handle it but Idk if it can. That's kind of what I was wanting to find out.

Ridgecrest over wraith because from what I could find, the wraith is really tippy and top heavy. And when I see videos of the two together, the ridgecrest gets over what a wraith struggles on pretty easy. Also its cheaper lol.

my buddy has a ridgecrest and has a nimh 5000 mah from onyx and it runs for quite some time (time i couldn't tell to be honest) but we go out for an hour at a time and he has plenty of juice left over
