Need help with first crawler

Hello I've been into r/c for a couple years now, and recently I decided I wanted to get into crawling. I've been looking around and have narrowed it down a bit. So my question is which would be better a Xr-10, Venom creeper, or Redcat RS-10?

I'm not doing competition now, but might do it later when i get better.

I've never seen or used a redcat, the venom is a good crawler but I own a xr10.

These are different crawlers so it depends if you want a shaft driven or a MOA crawler.

I can't speak for the redcat or creeper... But unless you plan on spending a fair bit of coin the xr10 may not be the best to get. It's a hard chassis to build on a budget.

It doesn't really matter to me what type I get, I just was wondering which is better for the money and how much more the xr10 would cost, becuase i kinda liked that one more.

Will mainly be used to backyard crawling.

OP, the best overall crawler would be the XR10. With the Axial kit and all electronics (2 motors, 1 or 2 ESCs, TX/RX, servo) you will have a very capable crawler in stock form. The XR10 is known however, to have a few weak spots in the gear/drivetrain that tend to fail under heavy load. Id suggest starting with stock, and upgrade if/when something breaks. It also wouldnt hurt to check out the XR sub-Forum stickys and posts to get a better understanding of what you may need to do to an XR.
