Threadlock on pinion screw?

This is probably a completely idiotic newb question - but here goes anywho.

Is it OK to put threadlock on the pinion screw? I've replaced the pinion on other RC's but I've never used before.

Cheers,
Doc

I've never used it on there, and it hasn't loosened up on me yet.

Yep, just don't use red and don't use a lot.

Got it... no red sauce and use a small amount of blue sauce...

It was weird, my wraith took a tumble down a steep hill and the motor made its whiring sound but no wheel movement. So I disassembled it tonight and viola - the pinion was in the skid plate on the other side behind the transmission. Weird...

Thanks again,
Doc

Re: Threadlock on pinion screw?

I have used red on a couple pesky ones that backed off with the medium strength blue. I use a small butane soldering torch to heat it up when I want to take it out and the loctite frees right up
