| Who has Thundertech Clod CVDs?
Hello all, Ive been thinking about getting Thundertech CVDs for my clod crawler, and I just wanted to get some feedback on them before I decide to drop $100. I want to know if they are worth the money, have you had any problems with them, and any advantages, or downfalls over the stock axles. Any and all info you could give me would be greatly appreciated. TIA, Wil |

i had a pair of axles with them. seem like good strong axles, but i honestly didnt notice much improvement over the stock axles, i probally wouldnt pay $90 for them unless i had a lot of spare cash to blow. hope this helps.

The Thundertech CVDS's turn sharper than stock axles and are smooth as glass at full lock. Without a motor installed I can put them at full lock, spin one hex, and watch the other freewheel for a few revolutions before they stop. The machine work is flawless as is the finish. Not to mention they are quite a bit larger in diameter than a stock axle at 8mm. I doubt you could break a cvd unless it were assembled wrong and something came loose. I have broken so many stock clod inner axles over the years I have lost count. Unless you have your axle cases modded for quick changing the inners, it's not a fun job. Escpeccially if you were unfortunate enough to break one during a comp. That to me makes them worth every penny. Disadvantages? None really execpt the price, but you get what you pay for. |

And they don't Break or bend, I have broke 3 of the inner axles and have bent the stub axles several times in tumbles.

Let me know what you think of them. I really want a set, but I want to get all the feedback I can before I buy them.
