Exceed Maxstone 1/8

Anyone else have one of these? This is my friend's first crawler/ hobby grade r/c. I knew to stay away from exceed but ended up getting it for 40 bucks with less that 10 runs on it. Is there any mods that can be done to it or upgrades? Parts seem to be impossible to find. I was hoping it's a clone and could get parts from another company, but no luck in finding a match. Any info on this rig would be very helpful. Thanks.

My friend just bought one of these cool looking rig servo lasted for one whole day I think for the money u can't go wrong

some axial parts will fit on it with a little modification. you wont find much after market support for the MAX, plus there CS sucks. there are also some threads on your rig on how to modify it.

Thanks guys. Been searching on here and have not found much on here about moded maxstones. There's a lot of Madtorque threads but everyone seems to hate the maxstone. I've been looking into getting a crawler myself for quite some time but was not sure if i'd like it until getting to run this one. I have to say it is very fun and addictive. I plan on getting one now but i'm having a hard time finding a decent 1/8 scale crawler.
