That would be called a Tuber, or a Clod with a custom tube chassis. It looks like a pretty cool setup. If those are Nylint tires, you will definitely want to swap them for better rubber, but still a nice looking rig. |

Are you looking for the name of the tuber? We would need more pictures of the chassis to decide.

Or just call in "Meow". Catch that "meow"? Or should I "meow" say it again to you. |

Some like the look of the Nylint tires, but the Moabs will work a thousand times better.

New wheels and tires, I weighted them and they work great.... I was thinking of widening 3/4 of a in on both sides. With the RC4WD 12mm to 23mm widening adapters, when I cut hard the tires get in the link barley. Preforms fine but I can hear it rub. Currently have a 12mm brass hex witha 14mm adapter and a 23mm adapter on that. If I get those adapters I will have two sets of adapters up for grabs. I got a set of Aluminum NovaRC wheels with HPI tires. Will trade for a set of the adapters off of RC4WD.com. |

I finally found my first scratch built tuber!! If anyone knows what has happened to it, I'd LOVE to know!! I built it with the best materials I had available to me, and not being based on anything else, I just kinda went with it and was happy with the results. I know to some of you pro's out there it probably is crap but I'd love to find out more info on my old clod/tuber... Anyone? |

Your best way to find out is to PM the current owner in this thread. BTW, I spent a semester at "Losers Last Chance." -WRM | |

Thanks for the reply! I p.m'd him about it. If anyone else might have info on my old tuber, I'd still love to find out where it is, if it still exists? It was built with automotive brake line and mig welded so it should be ok???? The guy had Jack Daniels decals all over it too, if that sparks a memory or two for anyone.. |

Yep, I'm back. Bumping a 2 year old thread in hopes that my old chassis hasn't been stomped into scrap. I still wanna buy it back! I PM'd the original poster several times a LOOONG time ago and never got a reply so I thought I'd try here again. HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS CHASSIS?? I know it's crap and all but it was my first scratchbuilt rig and I'd love to re-build it again. I'll pay a finders fee if anyone can locate it.. GB |

Mainly sentimental value to me but I lost my welding job so rebuilding it would be a major pain in my butt.. I just miss the first tube chassis I ever built from scratch I guess. I'll still pay a finders fee to anyone that can locate that chassis for me, once I recieve it successfully.. GB |
