Default SCX10 shock spring setup?

I'm going nuts hear. Could someone please tell me what I'm looking for when setting the front springs. Do I want fully extended shocks with stiff springs or not fully extended with medium spring rates or what? This truck weighs 9 1/2 lbs. I use it mainly for trailing. I put Proline 6060 shocks on it but the included springs are way too weak. They do not make a spring kit that fits these shocks, so I tried all the combinations I could using their duel springs. I got the chassis off the frame with the stiffest setup and it does crawl quite well. Question is, is this the best it can do or did I just get it off the frame and it crawls decent. Maybe it would do better with the right shock springs but I don't know what I'm looking for. The rear shocks and springs work great, its just the front ones that are giving me question.
Any and all help will be appreciated
