Default 2.2 Desert Rig needs transmission advice

I'm starting a build in the spirit of krawlfreaks Reaper build and could use some brains. It will be a desert rig, no crawling. I want to get rid of the transmission.

My idea is to run a direct drive with a slipper clutch. If I am doing my calculations correctly around a 4.00 spur pinion ratio run thru front and rear diffs at 2.84 and with my tire size give me my top speed goal. No need for a Axial Trans.

Imagine sort of like a direct drive setup on a pan car but a slipper clutch in the differentials place and imagine the axle as the output shafts of the drive line. I hope that made sense.

Thoughts?

why not use an transmission out of an 1/8th buggy or truggy as i have in my foff truck, version 2? I used a Tekno motor mount and 2 alloy upgrade trans mounts. Then made a mount for the spur gear. Although I used mod1 gears you could easily make a spur mount to fit 32 or 64 pitch gears.

From what I can tell that looks like a direct drive. I want to include a quality slipper clutch to help with drive train shock off of jumps and flips and such.
I have an idea using a robinson racing slipper. I'm trying to figure out if its going to work

I am not exactly sure what the exo terra gear output is but it is a direct drive using diff oil, not slipper though
