If i can add my 2 cents --

do yourself a favor and buy the tlt-1 rockbuster kit. they will outperform the Nylints ANY day.

the catch - they can be a little bit more $, but from what I read, MOST everyone on this site that has owned a TLT has kept the things they needed (such as axles) and then they sell off the rest and make most of their money back. then you buy the esc, servo, motor (20$), receiver and battery.

even if you buy a nylint on eBay you can rarely find them for under 90$

Go here and buy this.

by the way: your welcome.

This thing looks less capable than any nylint.

It seems like it has the same problem with the huge belly.

Are you kidding???
Take a look in this section: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/tamiya-tlt-crawlers/
Virtually all of those are "TLT's".

Good thing this post is in Newbie General. I'm not even going to read the rest of the posts, so - go to Wal-Mart, the Nylints are in the same aisle as douche bags and tampons, bottom shelf to the left....if you get to the Depends, you've gone to far! Oh, and they cost about $100, and your dignity!!! lol

lol harsh. yes out of the box the tlt would be less capable then a 1/18 nylint but just a few mods and a little extra $$ there is no contest. if they sucked so bad the mods wouldnt have put a tlt section on the forum. the nylint is a cheap way to start but if you get srious about crawlers they will eventualy get set aside.

CRM,

These guys are a little rough, but the point is that Nylints are toys, not hobby-grade RC's. It might not be a bad thing to see if you like crawling, but you WILL be happier with a TLT.
