Default i searched first... Difference between CLOD and TWIN Axles??

well duh clod is a solid axle and the twin is a independent but both look the same how about the gearing? i prefer the independent setup for clearance reasons...

EDIT: i am referring to twin detonator not twin force

Clod axles have the motors mounted on them, twins don't and require a center mounted tranny. They are also both straight axles, not independent

YOur just wasting your time with that. When you get it all done you'll wish you just bought Clod axles. There is no way it will perform aswell as a clod.

It has a higher internal gear ratio than the Clod gearbox. It'd probably just go too fast, even with adjustable motor mounts and small pinions.

gee I wonder? looking at the setup the housings are about 1/3rd bigger than the clod and much longer, you could use it but it would be a bear....go ahead and try it would be a good experiment.

It was moved because if you think clod axles and TD axles look the same, then you seriously need to stay in this section. It will save you alot of hassle from other members.

Pitching the gearbox up will give you some ground clearance on the motors but creates steering issues. It also leaves no room for the links and shocks. Sell the sucker on EBay and buy some clod axels...

It has been done.... Searching is your friend...
