| With my maxx shafts, I get one side seated in the hole and then I grab the other side with needlenose pliers and use the tip of the pliers to kinda bend the ear up a bit outta the way and I shove it in, usually swearing while I do it. |

| The ears on the shafts are very pliable (if thats the right word for it). Don't be worried about bending it back real far or far enough to get the joint in. I used needle nose pliers on my Maxx shafts and they went right in once I got the pliers positioned right. No hassle at all |

| There is a simple flat piece of metal with a slot in it that makes it much eaiser. I'm at work, so I can't get a picture of it for you but its about 1/8" thick with about a 1/4" slot in one end that fits around the metal rod. You use it like a shoe horn, piece of cake. |
