Well, I searched. I can't find a thread that says what MOABs can do. I am not a complete idiot, and know they are pretty good on rocks, but are they any good on dirt, sand, etc? Cheers

Moabs can make you a sandwich and clean your room too! Not my favorite tire for dirt or sand. I would take Mashers or cut Swamp Dogs.

I'm a recent Masher convert. On just rocks, I vastly prefer the sidewalling of my moabs, but when it comes to a comp or any trail running, the mashers are much better.

Well, I guess I chose a good tire for my pede then. Got some Maxx M2Ks and maximizers on the way for the stick pede. I think I will pleased seeing your guys' feedback on them.

I have won twice and placed 2nd at GR last month. On top of that, I remember people winning at the nationals that ran them.. So what proof do you have that backs up your statement or was it just all sarcasm? | |

Heck, I won the Nationals on Moabs. If I lose, I can't blame it on anything but driver error...or broken parts.

I love my Moabs, for rock crawling I havn't found a tire that is better. Not to wide, nice and tall, great compound, and good side lugs. If you want a tire to bash with, mud, sand, dirt, etc, go with the Masher 2000's. | |

Here in the IA state the mashers do better, we need the spaced out lugs for our jagged rocks. Moabs seem to just spin and not grip as well. Ex of rocks in this pic.

In 2.2, the M2k's seem to do better here in the PNW. Not enough people have the Masher 40 series yet for a good comparison.

Yeah, this is for a clod super, so M2K's are out of the question, what I'd really like to know is how the Imex all-ts are on the rocks. Hmmm? Cheers 8-)
