What is the best way to lock a pede tranny? Just simple use JB weld in the gears like the diff?

I used hot glue the first time and after about 6 months it started to slip again!
15 minute epoxy and large metal shavings, it's not going anywhere now.

Lowes sells this 2 part epoxy putty. Easier to work with then JB Weld plus, fully set in 3 hours.

You can also get a plumbers 2 part clay like texture epoxy that sets hard as a rock in 20 minutes. I've locked axles and trannys with it with never a problem.

I'm partial to QuikSteel. it's only about $10 for a tube @ wal-mart. fast drying 2 part epoxy putty. bought it to patch up a gas tank (imprevious to chemicals, and will dry while wet). and have since used it to patch a radiator on the trail, aswell as an oil pan that rusted through! Great stuff.....

but yea...that's a great way to perma-lock a diff

I wouldn't use jb weld or epoxy... for the simple reason if you strip the teeth off the diff your sol unless you carry spares, IMO, here a better way of locking pede diff and you can take it a part if needed be.

this is a different way to lock the diff but it is interesting.
It is easy to lock the diff, just open it up, clean the grease out, and put jb weld or i used gorilla glue in mine to set the diff gears inplace
