ok i am new to builds like this but i have done all kinda mods. on stuff i have had. i am pretty handy in some areas not so skilled in others. but i have been messing with nylints for awhile now and decided it was time to move on and build a real crawler. i started out with nylints just to make sure i really wanted to get into crawling since i was racing with my friends and just bashing the hell outta my tnx and t maxx. well i got hooked but anyways this is what i have and i no every one has their own opinions i would really appreciate the help for fillin in the spots i dont have a clue about. tlt kit sw2 chassis tq3 radio (rear steer) 4ws and 55t motor i am still stuck at what tires and wheels like the masher 2k's but since i kinda want to build a little version of my bronco might go with the moabs since they look like a tsl and i dont no what kind of wheels but something similar to the ones on my bronco which brings me to another questoin here does any one make a 80-96 model bronco body. if you would like click on my sig to see my real bronco and any help would be great thanks

The only bronco of that vintage I know of is this one---> http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXDA52&P=7 If you are building a 2.2 comp rig, forget about rear steer. You'l also want to pick up a stampede transmission to go with the SW2. You can also mod it for a stealth or losi tranny, too. I'd also suggest picking up a bearing set for the TLT axles.

ive always thought the parma bronco body looked a little funny because of the hood, too much slope and too high on the windshield. its been out for ever though. someone made a lexan blackfoot body, looks much better although not a bronco.

here's a set that look close to your 1:1 http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXMSY9&P=0 these would do ya pretty well too and easy to narrow http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJF50&P=0 I'd also suggest 2 pair of these or something similar if your not going to run wheel wideners. Longer stub axles, makes it easier to mount most wheels and are a direct fit. Especially the Traxxas one's, they have a lot of material. The stock TLT stub axles are too short fully engage the lock nut on a lot of aftermarket wheels. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGM26&P=7 (somebody correct me if I'm wrong, it's been awhile since I ordered 'em)

ok if i use those wheels in the above link will i have to narrow them. and im guessing that diffrent tires work better in diffrent terrians here where i am at evey thing is mostly dirt and gritty rocks but more dirt hi;lls and stuff that i can climb so would masher 2k's be a better tire over a moab for like little mud and loose dirt

yea, the fronts all the way around. It's an offset difference between the Rustler fronts and rears. The fronts have a deep offset - they stick way out and widen the track width, makes it more stable. The Rustler rear's are the opposite, they make it really narrow. They both use a 12mm hex which is the same as the TLT axle hex. I used the Rustler fronts on my TLT and the rears on my 2.2 clod both of which use a 12mm hex. I narrowed both sets on the inner beads. There should be lots of info around here on that. One problem though is that the stock TLT stub axle isn't very long and you won't be able to get the wheel nut on with the Traxxas wheels. Thats where the Tamiya TG-10 stub axles come in, they stick out farther. Thats what I used on my TLT. HPI and Traxxas rims bolt right up with absolutely no problems for me. I've seen mention of Tamiya Super Blackfoot stub axles being used. Another option is to take a Dremel to the rims and grind the area where the axle nut goes but it can look ugly really quick with plated rims an maybe get a little thin.
