I think you may not be getting answers because neither rig is really a basher. This site is about crawling and scaling. If you want scale jumps of a few inches or less than either will work. But if you want massive air, neither will work. Out of the two, the Wraith is probably better for you, but your best bet is to watch videos on YouTube of both trucks and see which looks more fun to you. |

The Wraith is going to be the better trail runner / rock racer but it isn't a real jumper. The SCX10 is about the scale look and being able to crawl with the limits that be scale puts on performance. I would check out the RC short Course site in the Exo Terra and Slash 4x4 forums. They are go fast rigs that can be used for bashing/Jumping. |

If you want a basher, why not get something that isn't a crawler and that can stand up to that beating? Maybe like a HPI Savage XS or a Slash?

You have an SCX10 and a Wraith already, and are looking for info on good and bad of both kits?

But if you're trying to avoid buying another car, then the wraith. BUT, make sure to check out the FOFF area of the forums here to see what drivetrain parts you will need and what modifications are necessary to reduce wear. A high kv (wheelspeed) brushless system will literally disintegrate a stock wraith, so many things must be considered. You can easily spend another $400 in parts so why not just buy a new one that's made for bashing? | |
