Hello, been out of crawling for so long can't even begin to remember what size or how to find wheels and tires for my super class crawler. What I do remember is I think this is a 1/8th scale rig with a specific nut size for the wheel hub to mount on,.... The question I have is, what are the keywords that I need to look for to find the right size wheels and tires for my crawler? 2.2 is the 1/10 scale crawler, what does 2.2 mean and what are the reference specifics for my 1/8th scale super? Thanks. |

^ super class, not the 1/10th scale. I figured it out, they are 3.8 tires.

2.2 and 4.0 are the inner diameter of the tire 1/8 is usaally considered 4.0 though sometimes they come up as 3.8 not to get confused with the 3.2 which some 1/8s come with like the xtm these were the original emaxx tire size i think |

Go with proline Trenchers in the 40 series size for the side wall. It's pretty much the standard for super tires.

class is generally determined by wheelbase 2.2 class or 1/10 is 12 1/2" wheelbase and use 2.2" inside diameter tires with 12mm hex hubs super class or 1/8 is 18" and use 4.0" tires with 23mm hex hubs some crawlers use-used 17mm hubs and use 3.2 or 4.0 tires all this is not carved in stone but will give you a start. it is confusing but with some patience, a lot of reading, looking at build threads, and asking questions it will all become clear 3.2 tires are not too common for crawlers most use 4.0 (3. ![]() there are glueon wheels and beadlocks. 17mm beadlocks are not too common but you can easily get adapters to go to 23mm hexes which are a bit more common. there are several types of adapters |
