Panhard kit pros & cons I'm contemplating a vp pan hard kit. I realize I need to run 3 links. Is this a recommended mod or not worth adding? Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk |
If you prefer the look, then yes "thumbsup" |
Re: Panhard kit pros & cons does it help with traction? |
Re: Panhard kit pros & cons A cms does nothing for performance, and if not setup correctly can even hurt performance. It adds scale realism and when setup correctly performs the same as an axle mounted servo. |
What is correct set up besides removing 1 link? Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk |
Re: Panhard kit pros & cons That's it. Install the VP CMS plate and Panhard kit according to their instructions, remove one of your upper links, readjust your servo (if necessary), then enjoy. |
Will there be any less travel with pan hard kit installed? Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk |
Re: Panhard kit pros & cons Which car are you runnning? From what I've seen on an other Wraith the panhard link og mounts seem to interfer with drag link from the servo, decreasing front suspension movement abilities. Possibly just some tweaking to make it work better. But I just don't see the benefit. Keeping the servo axle mounted aslo makes for a lower center of gravity. |
I'm running wraith and drag link does hit steering servo. I like the lcg idea but I realy like the look of panhard mounted. I'm curious if I can adjust anything? Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk |
Re: Panhard kit pros & cons Pics would help. But if memory serves correctly, the whole servo mount shebang slides back and forth for adjustment with a bit of trimming to the chassis. The panhard can also be mounted in front or behind to help with different wheelbases. You can also make and/or bend your links to tune your setup. The vp wraith mount is versatile enough, I ran a stock setup down to a 1.9 with scx axles on this cms setup. |
