| Vanquish Currie RockJock Axle
I am new to this, but I have a question about the Currie RockJock axles. Is it possible to get a VP rockjock housing... and connect 2 wraith long tubes to the housing and then use the long vanquish VVD 5MM stubs on both sides? Will the truss, and servo mount still be able to be attached to the axle? Is this a plausible solution to a much wider wheelbase? What do you think? |

WHy would you want to go so wide? The wraith axles are really wide as it is...

longer inner shaft, same stubs. It could be done, Its going to cost a bunch of extra money to make them, you'll have to drill and tap a few holes for the trusses. To keep your link mounts centered you'll have to use scx trusses and servo mounts.

I was referring to a Super class crawler (40 series), not the company. You need: VVD WRAITH LONG SHAFT axial cvd dog bone

Did anyone ever do this? Looks like a really interesting idea and you could even use stock parts(I think) and do it on the cheap side of things...? Would love to know!

Yes, I made a super shafty with ar60's last year but just stock housings. What I did though was just cut the axle tube (short only and sleeve it with tubing from Home depot. I only did it because I had dozens of stock housings, gear sets and shafts sitting around lol. I sold it to a local guy thats on here, but I cant remember his name (it was 3 letters or something). Now ive done the same with super bullies. Long tubes on both sides for super super bullies ( have mostly 1/5 and 1/4 scale stuff and dont mind the MOA because I dont show them off lol) But yes, its really easy and could be done better than I did for sure, but it just popped in my head so I did it to use up some garbage I had sitting around |
