Default 1939 Chevy Panel Crawler.

Well after my last micro crawler failed. I decided I still needed to get it running so I have built my new one. There are a couple of parts I still need they are 1/4 inch square derlin rod, 1/4 inch carbon fiber round stock for the drive shafts and the hardest part to find a replacement u-joint for the ssmt.

The parts spec go's as fallows.
- axles: SSMT
- trans: SSMT
- body: amc 1939 chevy body
- chassis: cusomized datsun monster truck from amc
- radio: tamiya stock 2 channel
- servo: hitec HS55
- ESC: Custom made no lag.
- motor: SSMT
- Tires/wheels: High Profile Nitto mud grapplers on unknown beadlock rims
- Battery: Team Integy 1200 hump pack.

I only have one pic right now but I will get more when I get it done.

Here is the link to the pic http://www.putfile.com/lab-rat/images/45936

Please let me know if it doesn't work and if you like it.

Most people do its hard to adapt the axles to do much else other than leaf springs witch are not the greatest for crawling (not hattin on them just don't really like em for micro's).

That should be neet. My dad has a 1949 f-1 ford pickup, a 1964 ford fairlane 500, and a 1978 ford Rancharo GT. Can you tell why I got the classic car bug?

The problem is them weighin so light, you need a weak metal to use thats durable for the leaf! Shocks are the way to go! or a torsion SSMT!

Ya i tryed that too but they tend to bend really easy under any torsion and they stay bent.

Well to give you an idea of the size they are that is a plastic 1/25 scale model body and the sticker you see in my pic is about 8 inches long so that may give you an idea in size also the screw that is mounting the shock to the chassis on the front is a 4-40 cap screw and the truck makes those look big.

Well even though my scale project got so rudely moved to newbie I figured I'd update it anyway so...
Last night I got the motor mount in for front wheel drive as I only have 1 u-joint for it and I dont think I'm ever going to find a spare, I got the body, inner rear wheel wells in, front fenders and head lights non-functioning though :-(. All I really have left to do is solder the motor leads on to my custom made esc and paint every thing and it will be good for out door pics and maby if it works well enough a video. Here is the link to the pics it of course has the manditory flex pics as well as a micro micro crawler in one pic and one becide a rustler rim for comparison.

Hope you like it Brant Inglis
