| Building an moa comp crawler
I posted yesterday here asking a few questions, and I've decided to build an moa crawler from the axles up. I'm looking at the Bully 2.2s Bully Comp 2.2 Front & Rear Axle Would these be decent to build up a first moa crawler? Do axles generally come with linkages, or do I need to buy them? Would they work well with a chassis like the Gunslinger? Also, I'm thinking about buying almost everything (sans radio) from rc4wd. Is the outcry 2 motor esc decent? Thanks for your patience! |

Do you plan to go to comps with it or is it just for bashing? If you want to do comps then the Bully 2 are the axles you need to look at, especially if your looking at a chassis like that. Links can be easily made yourself or made for you. Take a look at some Team Brood motors in the 30-35 turn range and some Holmes BR minis or Tekin FXR's for speed controls. For a steering servo I'm liking the Protek 170T.

Yeah, Bully 2s rock! plan to spend $1200 or more to get everything you will need to do it right. Its usually most effective to make the links yourself to fit the axles and chassis. Often i seem to go through a few rounds of bending and cutting before getting it just right. Good luck! |
