| Initial batt charge
Just received my first crawler. First RC car, in fact. It's a Maxstone 16. The thing is, the manual that arrived with it tells me all about how to start the gas engine (?), and how to care for a LIPO battery (?) Of course, the Maxstone 16 has neither of these things. How long should I initially charge the battery? The charger is a little black plug in with a red LED. Does the LED change color when charged? I don't want to cook the battery before I've even moved the car. |

If memory serves the charger is an 8 hour charger. So plug it in, wait for ages, and play. The battery is NiMH so you're safe. Can't do much harm with those. The light should turn green I believe. Welcome aboard BTW! |

Well what you should do is get a voltage checker and every hour or so take the pack off the charger to check it. But save up your money and get a better charger like a Duratrax 235 because that will take care of the hassle. Those wall warts are crap, there fire hazards so get a good charger. Welcome and let me know if you need more help.
