Default cms question

First off I can't use the search bar gor some reason. So here is my question....Has anyone took the servo mounting plate off the axle and mounted it right onto the frame using the 3rd hole back and the front hole of the shock?

Thanks man I appreciate it. Where do you mount the panhard bar? Got any pics or a link for me?

I have done this to a few scx10's and ran my last one for a couple of years with no bump steer problems, but have recently swapped over to a 3 link with panhard for a more scale look.

Default cms question

FWIW, seems like a lot of effort when you can just pick up a CMS/panhard kit like the one from RC4WD. That will have everything you need (servo mounting bracket, panhard mount for chassis, panhard mount for axle, panhard link) save for the metal steering link, which you need anyway) and the geometry will be correct.

I tried doing the same thing a while back. only thing i did was mount servo to frame. It drove like garbage had bumpsteer like crazy and was just an overall waste of time. since then i have learned a lot about the steering geometry and how to do it right. If you enjoy building things and doing it on your own then go for it. thats the best thing about these trucks. Although there is bolt on options available if you just want to get it done quickly.

Same cut as what's shown in post #50, but instead, braze/weld to your frame. Done.

Did you center all your trim button before putting on the servo horn?

if the phb is hitting the bottom of the servo at compression, put some spacers between the servo mount and servo toward the back.
