Default Answer me a stupid question...

Why is the Spektrum DX3 actually more than a DX6?

I actually spent some time thinking about this, I found that the cheaper one is better because.
1 its cheaper
2. Its functional
3. Its got more channels.

What servos come with each? That may be your price difference right there.

The DX-3 has a transfrig copper board and the DX-6 has sliver board. That right there is a $150 difference.

I just always figured that a pistol grip style was more popular than the stick style. Plus the DX3 comes with 2 recievers as the DX6 comes with 1
