CC01 and SCX10 from India.

Hey everyone, i'm new to the rc crawler world, but I picked up a CC01 Unimog earlier this year and I have been loving it. I also picked up a SCX10 Honcho Rtr a few months ago and that is really impressive for something out of the box. I Havnt done anything to it other than fit a shock droop kit to lower it, now it doeant roll over like a happy puppy on steep inclines. But I still luv the Unimog, maybe it's an underdog thing, but that's just my personal opinion.

The cc01 has been fiddled with a bit. Running a 35t Cr tuned motor, rc4wd 1.9 mud thrashers, ball bearings all around, roof lights, a luggage rack and fog lights in the front bumper. Bought the aluminium 4 link rear suspension, but that did not work well with the tamiya stroke extension links which are superb. Both diffs are locked, got a G parts tree with the diff lockers, makes a huge improvement in its climbing ability. The turning radius on firm ground takes a hit, but that's a small compromise for the improved climbing ability. Next upgrade will be the steering and finally an esc with a drag brake. The scx10 is just super controllable with the drag brake feature. I'm enjoying myself with these two trucks. Especially at the beach in the sand, although stripping them and cleaning them is quite a pain!!

I don't clean my stuff every time i go out, mostly just blow it out with the compressor. My honcho doesn't see water its mostly dusty desert though. Every 3-4 trips out ill break it down and clean it completely.

I dont strip them everytime i use them, just after using them at the beach coz the sand gets everywhere and sticks to things coz its always a little dampish. no water for my trucks too, unless a hobby store with spares opens up somewhere close to me. the honcho is a blast in the sand, the ripsaw tires have some good grip in soft sand. I havent tested the mud thrashers on the unimog in the sand yet as i just got them. I will be getting a compressor soon to blow out the dirt like you do.
