| Why is it so hard to find info on lights?????
So I've been searching the web for about an hour now just trying to find a link to some simple lights to hook up and how to wire them.... Why is it that I can't find any info except for pics? Maybe I don't have the right keywords. But anyway.... Just trying to find some lights for my Wraith. Mostly just want two singles to act as real appearing headlights mounted inside on the frame. I would have to cut out the fake headlights on the body to make them work and appear the way I want. Any links to lights that have a good reputation would be awesome! Also any wiring info would be great! Thanks -thirdeye |

Search Rcecho.com for LE860, LE863, LE858 under light systems as they're cheap. With the 860 I needed to use a $6 rx from hk to get full functionality with my scx10 radio.

On my CUCV, I have the Yeah Racing LK-0001WT light kit, just plugged straight into my receiver. Now, granted, that's the only truck that I have the BEC feeding (6.0v) into the receiver (with the red on the ESC pulled). I have no idea if an ESC's internal power supply would provide enough power for those lights.(shrug) |

A good place to look is in the Drifter RC area. I have a system that's plug and play on mine and when you turn right the right turn signal comes on. It came with spliced cables that runs the lights to my throttle and steering. Easy-peasy! Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Okay so my servo and ESC plug into a splitter cable. One end goes to the radio the other to the light box. It really is super easy. Not the best pics but it should help Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks for the info guys.... So the wiring seems simple enough, I'm sure I can handle that. The Axial setup Norton posted looks pretty simple. It seems most of you have mounted the lights/wiring to the body? Does anybody run it on the chassis? Doesn't seem like under the roof of the wraith would work too well... Also, Is that kit just the lights/wiring? Looks like there is no mounting brackets or anything? Is that something separate, or does this have everything needed to mount, wire and run? |

Most light kits out there are just the LEDs and controller and wiring no light bezels are included. Their are a few I'm sure that include them but you can pick some cheapo ones up at radio shack or most axial truck kits include some type of housings. From what you stated earlier it sound like the axial basic led kit would fit your wants, unless you want blinkers, brake lights, 4-ways, etc you don't need the complete ones. Also checkout the electronics section theirs quite a few threads on LEDs. You should also check out HEYOK he makes tons of different electronic components including led systems, he's a vendor here who knows his shiznit..... He can answer all your led questions -Dan Last edited by sickcivic95; 12-24-2014 at 10:21 PM. |

It sounds like you have everything handled now, but if you want a little more reference material, I wrote a tutorial a while back: How to wire LEDs |
