To start off I want to say that I'm new to this.. but I think that I might want to open my private course Up to some people for a small amount of money, something like 10 dollars. But I have no idea what I need to do before I can legally do this. If anyone has any knowledge on this subject I would greatly appreciate it.

Do you own the property already? I assume you do. My guess would be that if it were free for people to use, you would need to do very little. Like nothing. As soon as you start charging money, you're likely going to need a business license, INSURANCE and follow the required state and federal laws regarding tax collection/remittance and income reporting. | |

You can accept donations without a business license, however you need to make sure you report it on your taxes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Definitely check your Homeowners insurance. People falling and twist/breaking ankles and wrists could end with you in court. Post lots of Owner is not liable for damage or theft of personal effect signs too. If you know a local business that holds mud runs and stuff, see if they will let you take a peek at their waiver(if they have one) for tips. Last edited by Dad,Canyoufix?; 01-14-2015 at 02:00 PM. |

| ![]() If it's just friend you are trying to entertain, i don't see any difference in a crawler course vs a BBQ. Advertising your course for locals that you may not know well or at all, best to be as prepared as possible from the scammers out there. If one of my friends broke his/her ankle or wrist, the laughs and drive to the hospital is the only payment that would be expected. |
