this wil be my first rock crawler build up ive got a clod buster im just not shure how far the 4 link setup should be:?:

:shock: Thats a great question. I'd make it a far as possible, the farther the better.

Find out what you want your wheel base to be then work from that.

SEARCH.

the average is around a 16" WB. for a clod.

ok well i want it BIG so im thinking 19 maybe 22 inches, or is that just dumb? and another question what kind of bracket should i use for the botom of my shock im mounting it on the 4 link

why stop there?:lol::lol:

I think beyond 16.5" you are reaching the point of diminshing returns; too long of a wheelbase will get high centered way too often, and turning radius will be nill.

But like some wise man once said, SEARCH.

ok well another question ive seen a few crawlers local that dont have glued tires they use rubber bands on the rim to get some grip on the tire bead

rubber on rubber grabs well , i've seen it done before .
