I think everyone that started with a TLT basically just got em for the axles, but the newer crowd doesn't know that.

Technically my first was a venom mini giant. My first handwound motor was made for that because there was no other option

wdk- judging by the tires and rims it is probably a TLT with an aftermarket chassis.

AX10 scorpion '08 Before that, I had zero interest in anything that didn't go blazing fast.

Wdk-- those look to be tlt axles with a link plate. Not sure on the chassis though as you can't really see it

Tamiya Hornet in '85. Then a Tamiya TT-01 and SC10 4x4 last year before discovering scalers/crawlers. First scaler was a Wraith, followed by SCX-10, GMade R1 Frankenstein, CR-01, Gelande 2 D90, TF2, Ascender and Gelande 2 D110. As I've gotten into it, I'm finding that I enjoy the more scale, less capable rigs (esp. TF2 and Gelande, also SCX-10/Ascender) more than the more capable rigs (Wraith, R1 Frankenstein). You have to think through more lines and use more finesse, which makes them more fun on a wider variety of terrain.

same as alot off the other guys I see,,,I started first with a axial xr10,,then it became a vanquish xr10,,
then I went to dlux/berg v1...(his superlites)...
And I did svear to not be a scaler,,but now dlux has made some fine art off the wrait/currie axels so my next rig is gonna be a 1808 wrait with the ULTRA CUSTOM FAB chassis...

my first rig was a max stone 10 ,,,,,don't say any thing,,,I have paid my dues having to fix and mod the thing AND I made my daughter throw rocks at me for an hour ,,,,she hit me in the nose and broke my finger .. the good news is you no longer can tell it is a max stone 10 by looking at it and if people don't know I tell them it is an ax10,,,,because I don't want people hitting me with rocks and saying...
sticks and stones may break your bones and if you drive exceed products we will do it again.

My first was a yellow Jeep from Wal-Mart that had pneumatic tires that you inflated with the use of your very own mouth Ran on 4 C batteries and would crawl linoleum if the batteries were fresh. I think that was around 197?
First hobby grade (if you can call it that) was a Kyosho Double Dare. Then I got on the Traxxas kick for several years. Then the 8th scale nitro buggies took over my life for a few years. Got married, she bitched till I gave up RC, got rid of her and I'm back to being a RC crack head. Bought a Redcat Everest 10 a little over a month ago and I was hooked. It's a low end unit that some people like to bash on, but I'm having a blast with it, and that's what it's all about. Just bought a CC-01 Unimog, and yes I'm loving the clunky lil sucker also. And I'm getting ready to buy something with leaf springs soon as I can make up my mind one which on to get.

They're nothing fancy, but the smile per hour rating is pretty good

I started out back in the day with a 1/10 HPI nitro MT 4x4, 0-60 in a blink rig, just got back into rc do to crawling and bought a cheap Pangolin Crawler from HSP, kinda a Ax10 knock off, and have a new Wraith project on the way.

My first r/c ever was a Tamiya Bush Devil from the 90s I don't even know what chassis number it would be. First "crawler" was a Tamiya F-150 TL02 chassis then I got into the clods(gecko 1 chassis, I now have the gecko 2 in the garage) tlt, txt, and a CC01 chassis. I am old school my newest rig is the land cruiser CC-01 lol.

My first RC was a Vaterra Twin Hammers. I got it because I was not sure if I wanted to go fast or crawl. I built it to crawl, then I bought my second rig, SCX10 Deadbolt. As soon as I get it where I want it, I'll rebuild the Hammers to be a fast rig.

3905 Emaxx started the RC addiction. Losi MRC started the crawler addiction.

Two-wheel drive Traxxas Stampede followed by an AX10 Rock Racer RTR. Ever try to crawl with a Stampede? Couldn't handle much more than a 20 percent incline, and then only with excessive momentum!
