| Hey Guys and Gals! New Here!
Hey everyone, Have a couple of questions to ask... So it all started with a Tamiya Toyota Tundra Highlift Kit. Built it, got a Futaba 4WD remote and receiver. Got it up and running for a bit. Recently though, the steering servo and ESC has been shutting down randomly. Right in the middle of driving. Like after a couple of turns, the steering servo shuts down... It happens with all the servos I tried it with. I'm starting to think its the ESC. It's a cheap one. It's a micro ESC 320A. Anybody know the causes of the servos bugging out? |

Sounds like your internal BEC on the esc is shot and the servo is drawing too much power resulting in "brown outs" . You could get a Castle creations "bec" and hook that up. They run around twenty bucks. Or get a new esc, and still use a castle bec, either that or that esc just cant handle the power, I'm not familiar with that esc though. And welcome to the forums Yes, you need an external BEC! Cheers, Wade Last edited by Wade; 03-06-2015 at 07:17 PM. |

Thanks Wade! Really appreciate it. I also thought that the servo could be having problems with dirt and grime clogging up the linkage. Recommend that I take that apart and clean it up?

You could try it, but if you said that it does this with all the servo's you tried, I would think its esc related.

Your welcome. If that doesn't work then I would suggest getting a different esc. But still use the bec with whatever you decide
