DIY Chain

I Saw a guy on youtube by the name RCOverload make this chain and thought I would pass it along. The chain and lobster claws can be found in the arts & craft section at wal*mart. $5.00. 115 in of chain and 10 claws.

Re: DIY Chain

I have made a bunch of these they look fairly scale ( the chain not the hooks ) Bad thing is they only hold about 2lbs before they break so they are not very functional, I have been looking for a scale chain source that is able to hold higher weights but am having no luck... Good thing is for the price you can make 8-10 scale length chains as a scale accessory.

Re: DIY Chain

I use small diameter paracord for tow ropes. small chain is very weak. even the rpp chain looks like hobby lobby jewelry section stuff. looks great but not strong enough to actually USE on a trail.
