Question Mamba VMG

im thinking of getting a mini giant, and use a mamba performance package with GWS gear reductor,

any advice, is this plausable? anyone tried this?

also, do you need another front axle for 4ws?

Thanks in advance

The mamba wont start up when bound. Once it is rolling though everthing would be all good and you will break stuff. I would recommend using a small outrunner, like a park 250 sized dealy.

If you can be easy on the throttle finger I say go for it. You will need two front axles for 4ws.

I shoehorned a Park 370 outrunner / Mamba-25 combo in mine with no gear reduction. It's overkill, I know, but I didn't know any better at the time. It was surprisingly easy to modify the motor plate to fit it. It's a fun little truck. But without the reduction, low end throttle response is less than ideal. I am trying to avoid having to use a bulky reduction unit so I'm experimenting with throttle curves or maybe using a Quark 33a ESC instead. The plus side is that I have LOTS of wheelspeed if I need it...

All two pole inrunners stall when bound. They just cant start up.

That motor would work, but it will be pretty fast for a vmg crawler.
