Ask JRH(Holmes Hobbies) he is the brushless guy. Just search for it, find whats most used, it will probably be one of the best.

do you have to run 2 esc when going brushless on a clod?

Yes, you need 2 ESC's anytime you run 2 brushless motors. With each motor having a different rotor orientation in their respective mounting configuration, the ESC has no way to determine rotor position and will not be able to properly phase the PWM drive signals in the ESC.

Are you looking to compete or just bash?

I have the Novak Crawler system for my TXT and I like it. Ran it hard for the first time this weekend and it went over everything I threw at it and the temps never went over 78 degrees with a small T4 heatsink. I am using a HV Controller tough. I had a HV4.5 in there and it was way to much power.

My father-in-law was running a Novak's Super Sport Plus System in his TXT and he thermaled the motor once, while we were playing.
