Hey everyone, So I got into crawlers back in 08/09, back when there were tons of companies and comps. I had a pretty sweet ax10, with a good amount of hop ups. I'm returning to the hobby (still researching what I should buy) but have a few questions. 1. What happened?? There isn't much traffic as I remember. 2. Any advancements in crawler technology? I remember when I was really into it, a dig was a "new" thing. 3. I see that a good amount of people are into scale trucks. No more hardcore crawler that look like poop, but can climb over anything? I'd appreciate any answers. And if there are none, I'll just keep reading. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

1. Facebook 2. Not really. Axial has wider axles now and a few platforms using them. Same stuff pretty much really. Comp crawlers got a little ridiculous with their weight shedding and weight in the 3 - 4 pound range. Two ESCs and 4 channel radios. 3. Scalers are in full swing. |

The Losi Comp Crawler was my last interest in these. Very cool car, very capable and I did really well competing with mine, until the MOA guys got out of control. Platform is all but dead now, too, so parts availability is tough... but it doesn't really break much. Wears out worms.

All but dead huh? Darn. I just wanted to try something different. Am I right to assume that Axial still has a good amount of aftermarket support? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Axial is huge. None bigger in this sector of RC. And yeah, Losi discontinued it a while ago, though the Night Crawler is still being sold, but I doubt for much longer. You can source parts, and I even see near mint rollers on sale here, but, etc. It really did define what a decent out of the box comp crawler should do, but the timing of was off. People were already trying out the Axial XR-10 and things took off for a bit. XR-10 is disco'd too, if that tells you anything.
