Hey guys, I'm new to the scene and I think that it's time I got a real crawler (the Nylint just isn't cutting it anymore). I know that I want a scale crawler and I want it to have an 80's Toyota pickup body. Any advice on how to get started and what to use will be greatly appreciated. Do I start from scratch or use an exisiting kit? Any answers and opinions are welcome!

I am using a Hilux body and a High-lift chassis when I get around to building it. The body is vintage Tamiya and a bit of money but you can't beat the look of hard plastic bodys.

See if you can get ahold of the Bruiser Hi-lux body. Buy a TLT kit for barts and pick up the BB-51 from MontanaScaleDesigns.com You can go wrong. RC4WD.com has some sweet looking scale axles as well.
