Building a bad as crawler any ideas.

Just got back in to the hobby. man have things change a lot .any of u crawler guys and girls have any good ideas on what parts to look in too. I'm starting out with a brand new axial scorpion. I know it's a little older but that's what I have to work with..any help would be great. "

what is your budget?
do you want bullet proof axles and tranny?
motor alone could be anywhere between 55.00 to 155.00.
stock chassis or something sexy? same with wheels.
do you want to go ultra light with the build?
or do you just want good basic upgrades to start with.

I'm not to familiar with the AX10 Scorp but I wouldn't exactly call that a bad ass crawler. When I think bad ass I'm thinking a brushless U4 rig or something along those lines.

I would start with simple things like VP knuckles and C's, Drive shafts, trans gears, UD and OD ring and pinion gears. After that the skys the limit. You can upgrade to axial universals which will need wraith knuckles and C's and beef tubes.(might want to think about this before buying parts). New chassis' on the market in any flavor you want and CF wheels with RC Bros wheel weights. Check out some sporty builds on here. Lots of info and great ideas

Ax10 chassis design is a descent foundation to work with. What are your expectations of this rig, all out crawler or scaler? As a all out crawler this rig would work well with a little bit of help. As a scaler y9ur gonna wanna do alot of changes. Give us a idea of what your looking for out of your rig
