Default Dilemma in choosing types of axles, advice please.

I am planning a rather ambitious scale rc car based on the mobile russian ICBM launcher. there will be 8 axles as per the actual vehicle.

here's the dilemma, the actual veh in real life has double wishbone style with transmission shafts and transfer cases running along the length of the chassis.

double wishbone is easy to build if there are just 2 axles. But it becomes tricky when there are so many. I did my research, there are only 2 instances of multi-axle builds that do not use solid axles.

Quote:
1 uses 2 prop shafts running parallel along the chassis. the left prop shaft drives all the left wheels. it has a small bevel gear driving a larger bevel gear connected via a universal shaft to the wheel, this is then repeated 7 more times. same goes for the right prop shaft.

the 2nd instance is the capo tatra kit. there's only 1 prop shaft and it has 2 small bevel gears per axle. as per the picture below, both sides of each axle do not align with each other.

Thing is, I am not too keen on either solution, not that I am dissing anyone. I've devised 2 solutions, 1 using axles from cross or scx10s which is easier but somewhat expensive

the other solution is actually uses bevel gears and transfer cases, a different approach from the russian guy's. it might be cheaper but definitely more machining needed and more complicated.

My question is: I am not sure whether I should try to build it similar to the actual vehicle in real life, with double wishbones OR use solid axles altogether.

the vehicle is expected to be 1.3m or nearly 10feet in length. so it's probably not going off-road unless it's wide-open grass/sandy fields.

It's up to you to decide the priorities!
* Scale realism, with lots of work and costs involved, or
* Keeping it simple and cheapish.
I don't expect anybody to spot the difference from a distance...

Which is it, 1.3m (4.3ft) or 10ft (3.0m)?
