So I am 100% new here. I am not new to RC. I have a solid stable of Short Course trucks. We have a rad track. I want to add a few crawlers to the mix and build a rock section for our track. Thus giving us a little Ultra 4 action. I need help setting this thing up. What motor/ESC setup? What servo? ![]() ![]() I picked this up. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'd suggest starting with Harley's stickies in the Wraith section. After that, a search on "Wraith Ultra 4" will pull up plenty of good threads with U4-specific setups. If you still have questions at that point, fire away... ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I stripped out my spur gear. What's a decent upgrade? Should I change the number of teeth, plastic or metal? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I can't really offer up any advice on gearing since I like my trucks under 8mph(crawlers anyways) and will crawl up a wall almost. But as far as material I run Delrin Spurs in all my trucks. My scx wraith slash(brushless) and a few others all have Delrin Spurs and when they break I'll run them again. It's 50/50 on people I've talked to about metal or plastic in their opinions and sure it's the same here. I like Delrin because for one it's a self lubricating plastic, also it's a little harder than normal stock plastic Spurs, it's machine cut vs just pressed into shape. I don't like metal just because you need a weak link somewhere(for the most part and everyone likes different stuff which makes this a awesome hobby and this is just my opinion. Not sure if it's right or wrong) and I'd rather break a spur vs something more expensive. Just my opinion and hope it helps=) I think it's the best of both worlds.
