1/6 scale jeep and sawback

I have seen this built before and have some questions, I have a 1/6 scale jeep from GI joe and I want to use that body on the Gmade sawback I am waiting on ordering the sawback but wondering if anyone else has talked it and what they used to build it.

The 1/6 scale body is going to be a lot longer than a Sawback and is going to require fabrication / mods to make it work.

ckrccrawlers has a 1/6 jeep build in their blog using a couple of SCX10 chassis to get the correct length and wheel base.

I didn't use the Sawback chassis, but you could, you just have to be willing to make modifications to make it work.

I used an SCX-10 chassis with a Wraith skid. If you look at my build thread: New Project (for me), in the Large Scale Rigs section, I had to extend the rear of the chassis with flat steel to mount a rear bumper, but the axles sit under the original scx10 chassis. On the Sawback chassis, with the leaf sprung axles, you may have to cut the chassis in half, and lengthen in the middle, to match the wheelbase on the 1/6 Jeep.
