what in ur guys opinion is the best wb for a really capable clod crawler?

i want it to climb the best it can, no comps just playing on rocks and all that but i dont want it to look dumb with the body on

i will have 65 turn lathes, moabs xl's, proline bead locks (the narrow ones), im not shure on the pack yet.. any sugjestions? my chargers limit is 9 cells

thanks in advance

Personaly, I would go with an 18" WB chassis to run XL's. I put them on my 17" because the LHS only had 1 pair of moabs and I didnt want to wait for them to order more. So, I just bought the XL's

I just got my setup up...17 1/2 pimp cane, clod axles, 45 turns, rc guy steering setup, moab 40 series w/ axial beadlocks. Should be good but im waiting for some of this stuff to come in still. Ill be running a regular 6 cell stick pack on the top front of the chassis right over the axle. If i mount it on the axle it would hit the steering links. If this doesnt work ill have to get custom made packs. The only thing I cant figure out is how to mount the body?!?

What I tell Customers is if you are running XL's go with a wheelbase around 17 to 18in...If you are running Mashers or Standard Sized Moabs go with 16.5in Wheelbase. Standard Moabs and the 16.5in Wheelbase is the winning Combo of last year....

17" to 18" is the ticket! I took 2nd place in warcrc's last comp at 17" with moabs. Its an awsome chassis and great combo with those tires.
