Smile TLT Shopping List

Need advice --

Say you got some extra cash from Santa . . . . . which servo, which tranny, which esc, which motor, which battery and which radio would you get to build the ideal TLT based crawler? Do I cannibalize somebody's Stampede off e-bay and hope for the best? or should I pick up each piece seperately? Looking to build a rig that does it right.

I think you should look around and do some research on your own. This site is here to answer questions, not build your crawler for you.

He's right, nobody knows "the best" way to build a TLT crawler. I just picked one up and built it mostly stock (other then wheelbase and tires) I quickly learned the stock trans SUCKED and the high COG (center of gravity) held me back on the steep stuff. I started modding and buying and reading and more modding and more buying ect.ect.ect. If you start with the stocker then start modding a little at a time you will have a good crawler pretty quick. The most important thing is that your happy with it, don't build to please others here (or anywhere else) Just build it drive it and learn! I now have 4 TLT trucks and 1 clod and have got my Dad and Uncle into it with there own TLT's and no two rigs are the same, something is different about every one. So good luck and have fun!

which esc

Should I pick up each piece seperately? Looking to build a rig that does it right.
