Default SCX10 front wheels binding on tight turns

Is it normal for 4wd trucks to bind some going around tight turns in the front wheels? I had a K5 fullsize Blazer many years ago and I think that also did it in 4wd. I have a scx10 deadbolt

Yup, that's normal. When there's a locked diff between two wheels there will be binding..

rc's with lockers behave differently than those with diff's...I just put the xr10 modded axle under my scx10 front end, the tire on the inside of the turn really spins faster while the outside tire just rolls normally, at the same time the rear axle is trying to push the vehicle straight...so start saving up your money for some new tires

How does that make a difference with a locked diff? The binding doesn't seem to be front the joints.

He thought you meant the front axles were binding at the wheels, not the typical 4x4 driveline bind you get with a locked drivetrain.

When you turn a vehicle the outside wheel travels farther and faster. A locked axle wants to go straight and resists turning because both wheels are turning at the exact same speed. This is why differentials were created. If both wheels are locked something has to give and one wheel ends up "jumping".
