Smile What Servo?

Looking to build an SCX10.II and I can't decide on a steering servo, I'm trying to look mostly on Amazon.com. I've found a few so far, but I'm not sure if they're any good or chinese knockoffs.

Solar D770

Turnigy

Traxxas HI Torque

THanks All.

I would recommend the Solar D772. I use it in my SCX10 as well as other crawlers.

Solar Servo D772 High Voltage 0.17sec@7.4v 64g Digital Metal Gear

I 2nd the Solar D772
if considering the least amount of coin spent.

Will it hold up to your use... maybe
Although... I personally didn't have very good luck using those.

Hobby Partz offers no repair parts or warranty for those.

Still... one of the best low buck HT/HV/MG servos out there IMO.

And I've never had a D772 fail even after dunking them in mud and water often over the years.

Good for you... guess I wasn't as lucky.

But I was a fond user for quite some time.

In fact... I still have 5 remaining that have dead motors.
and the gears are in near new condition.

Need some spare gears ?

I have two D772's with 1st production gears in them

Hobby Partz changed to cheaper gears in the 2nd production run.
And I had bad luck with their 2nd production D772.

But I'll assume they've corrected that production fault since.

Bang for your buck, it's hard to beat that D772. I have one in my Ascender and been very happy with mine.

BEC's are always a good idea. That being said my Ascender with the D772 is NOT currently running a BEC. Haven't run into an issue with mine until I tried to add a light bar. Not I just power my lights on their own small battery.
