Cool impulsive

please tell me im not the only guy who walks in a hobby shop with the intent to get a set of new tires and leaves with new crawler. Because it would of been irresponsible of me to not take advantage of $20 off. Or am i justifying poor decision making skills? And i thought the sole purpose of a credit card was to be able to buy things even when you don't have the money?

I hope you at least spent the 20 bucks saved on the new tires. In the last year I did the same thing 4 times and many times to get parts to get parts to fab a new one (drop 250 on parts, only going in for some wheels.) Yeah it's a sickness, but it feels so good. Who wants to get well? I love it.

If you have the $$... get what you want... just pay it off within the month or you just gave the bank that $20 you saved...

It’s almost mandatory for me to leave a hobby shop with something.

If the shop does not have the part I wanted, I usually will purchase, for example, some shim’s, extra double sided tape, etc.

And then there are the times that some stupid company releases a new crawler that is absolutely perfect and will never need any upgraded parts. Think of the money I will save not buying any additional parts. Yep, I gotta get it.

Lucky me, nearest decent hobby shop is 2 countries away. I went to a shop while I visited Vienna recently. Now that was a test of self control. To walk out with only a servo, with all that sexy stuff on display.

And when I'm ordering something online I'll throw at least 10 euros worth of extra stuff in the basket. Connectors, fasteners, tape, whatever.

It's a drug.

I'm having this same issue. Wanting to get back into crawling and the only hobby shop has the gmade r1. Get It or hold off. Really hard when you don't even have 1 yet.

It's the worst every time I walk into a hobby shop, I see everything on the shelves and what to come home with it all. Same goes for ordering online I have to kind of set a limit as to what I get, otherwise I will end up spending way too much. Now if only our significant others would just understand.
